TWO MERCER COUNTY TEAMS STATE BOUND
The Cavaliers scores two runs in the bottom of the first inning then added insurance late to defeat Marion Pleasant in the Division III Regional championship game at Ed Sandy Field in Elida on Friday afternoon. With the win Coldwater (27-4) heads to its 15th state final four since 1961, the first since 2004, Friday at Cooper Stadium in Columbus against (28-3) Canton Central Catholic at 1PM. Canton beat Peninsula Woodbridge 13-9 to capture the Massillon Regional Title.
The Celina Lady Bulldog Softball team posted a shutout of their own by defeating Kenton Ridge 1-0 at Northmont on Saturday afternoon. With their win the Celina Lady Bulldogs head to Akron Firestone Stadium to take on Dover Tornadoes at a 12:30 first pitch time. This is the first time since 1999 that the Bulldogs have made it to the state softball tournament.

CELINA GIRLS TO COMPETE IN SOFTBALL REGIONALS
The Celina girls will take on the Mt. Orab Western Brown Cougars today at 5PM in Division II Softball Tournament held at Northmont High School.
Celina has reached the regional tournament by deafeating Wapakoneta 2-1, Lima Bath 3-1, and Napoleon 2-1.
Mt. Orab Western Brown tournament trail includes deafeats over Norwood 26-0, Cincinnati Finneytown 20-4, New Richmond 4-1, and Germantown Valley View 4-3.

WCSM/ST. HENRY BANK BASEBALL INVITE
WCSM and The St. Henry Bank will host the 13th annual Baseball Invitational. The first games will be at 2PM with st. Henry vs Botkins on AM1350 and Marion Local vs Anna on 96.7FM. The Championship and Consolation games will begin at approximately 4:15PM. The winners of the tournament will receive a traveling trophy and t-shirts.
2 area teams will also be traveling to Fifth Third Field in Dayton, home of the Dayton Dragons. Ft. Recovery and Coldwater will start battle at 4PM. If St. Henry and Marion Local play each other in the second game of the invitational then we will air Ft. Recovery and Coldwater at AM1350 at 4PM. If St. Henry and Marion Local do not play each other at 4:15, then we will tape delay the Coldwater/Ft. Recovery game on 96.7FM.
Should be a terrific day of baseball on WCSM.
